I think we need Points here
you get points anywhere where you post except for the games section
We could also have competitions for points and so on
if we already have a points system tell me cos i can't see them

That won't work on vBulletin.

^What he said.

Why not?

Because it puts an unnecessary load on the server, it takes many template edits to get everything needed, and it's not necessary for this forum to work.

Installing kbank. It's easy to install and set-up. I have it on my forum, and it also has a store and donations system :D

It's also quite buggy and causes alot of errors, no, if I installed a points system, I'd use vBCredits. Fair enough, I've added a poll to see how many think it will benefit the forum. Please bear in mind that this isn't how I usually do things.

Also, Veritas, you may wanna introduce yourself :) Welcome to the forum

Is it a requirement? o.O ...Fine lol

Yes. Point Systems work well if you know how to put value on them. If you make members believe they're worth something, they will use them. You can give them out as prizes for contests and stuff. Pay for requests or something, be creative with it.

Why? It's not necessary for the forum to function. It doesn't need to be added. I'm against all pointless additions for the forum. It'll slow down the site, and it's just not necessary.

How do you know it will slow down the site?
I have dozens of plugins and products onstalled on my forum and it still runs perfectly fine.

How do I know? Because I've used the plugin before...on my site! And WCBA to add the plugin at the moment. We've got enough to deal with right now. And if you could see the plugins installed on this site, then you would understand.

You don't pay. People volunteer to make them for you.

Ya we need some sort of things

Paralipsis

There's no real need, since you don't have to "pay" for anything on here. If we wanted to restrict something, we'd put a required amount of posts on something in order for you to request something, or enter, etc.

His account was most likely deleted during a DB error due to us being hacked.

This is an old thread, but I don't see a need for a points system. It won't slow down the site that much at all, perhaps only a few milliseconds for the SQL queries.

The poll is tied at 3/3, but since there's no need for points, it won't be added.
